Refund & Cancellation
Last updated: July 10, 2026
At UpBracket, we strive to deliver exceptional digital solutions, including website design, application development, and digital marketing services. Because our work involves custom strategy, time, and intellectual property, our refund and cancellation policies differ from those of traditional retail businesses.
Please read this policy carefully before initiating any project with us. By hiring UpBracket and paying a deposit or invoice, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. Cancellation Policy
We understand that business needs change. If you need to cancel a project, the following conditions apply:
- Before Work Begins: If you submit a cancellation request in writing before any strategy, design, or development work has commenced, we will issue a full refund of your initial deposit, minus any transaction or processing fees.
- After Work Commences: If a cancellation request is received after project work has started, we will evaluate the amount of work completed. UpBracket retains the right to keep a portion of the deposit or bill for the hours worked up to the date of cancellation. Any remaining balance from the deposit will be refunded.
- Ongoing Retainers (SEO/Marketing): For ongoing monthly marketing or maintenance services, clients must provide a minimum 30-day written notice prior to cancellation. Services and billing will continue through the end of the notice period.
2. Refund Policy for Custom Projects
Refunds are assessed on a case-by-case basis depending on the project phase:
- Design Phase: If initial design mockups are presented and you choose not to proceed, a partial refund may be issued, deducting the cost of the design hours utilized.
- Development Phase: Once a project moves into the coding and development phase, the initial deposit is strictly non-refundable. At this stage, significant technical resources have been allocated.
- Completed Projects: Absolutely no refunds will be issued for projects that have been completed, delivered, or deployed to a live server environment.
3. Third-Party Costs Are Non-Refundable
During the course of a project, UpBracket may purchase third-party services on your behalf. These costs are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Domain name registrations and renewals.
- Web hosting packages or cloud server setups.
- SSL Certificates.
- Premium plugins, themes, stock imagery, or third-party API licenses.
- Ad spend paid directly to platforms like Google, Facebook, or LinkedIn.
4. Project Abandonment
Successful project delivery relies on timely feedback and assets from the client. If a client fails to provide necessary content, approvals, or communication for a continuous period of 30 days, the project will be considered abandoned.
In the event of project abandonment, UpBracket reserves the right to terminate the agreement. No refunds will be issued for abandoned projects, and resuming work may require a project restart fee.
5. How to Request a Cancellation
To request a cancellation, please contact our support or account management team directly via email. Please include your project details and the reason for cancellation. All requests must be made in writing.
Terms & Conditions: Please read this policy in conjunction with our Terms & Conditions.
